"This huge property was very nice. Lots of restaurants which were easily accessed using the shuttles. The rooms were clean but... room phones & hot water was non-existent in 3 out of 5 booked rooms. Buffets were great. Free drinks were a little light but still very nice. I would stay here again."

"My experience at Playa Bachata was extremely disappointing. The rooms were mediocre, poorly maintained, and there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms—only in the lobby. The daily activities lacked creativity, making the resort feel repetitive and boring. While some staff members were friendly, others were extremely rude and unprofessional. Service at the restaurants was also very poor. Staff struggled to keep up with basic drink service, and there were multiple times I finished my meal without ever receiving water or beverages. The food quality was terrible and nearly identical every single day. The biggest issue, however, was cleanliness. I personally saw three cockroaches crawling around the buffet food area and have photo evidence of it. That alone made the experience unacceptable. The specialty restaurants were also misleading. I made a reservation for the Italian restaurant only to be served essentially the same pasta available at the lunch buffet. Overall, this resort did not meet even basic expectations for cleanliness, food quality, or customer service. I would strongly recommend avoiding Playa Bachata and choosing another resort for your vacation."

"This property was really pretty and the staff were all so nice and most spoke well in English. The pools were beautiful with the mountain as a backdrop and we spent lots of time in the game room playing pool and ping pong. Everything looks new and tastefully designed with some new amenities coming soon (I think someone said tennis courts?) but the work was being done with hand tools and never intruded on the peacefulness of our quiet vacation. The private beach was so quiet with chairs and umbrellas and cold beers available. It is about a 2 min golf cart ride to the beach but someone is always ready to bring you there with a smile and recommend one of the amazing beachfront restaurants (we were treated like royalty!) On Saturday night they played fun, upbeat music by the pool. It’s the best time to visit the rooftop pool if you are prone to burning in the daytime. Thanks to all for making our getaway so enjoyable!!"
