This little gem is close to the Free trolley that goes up and down Coast. We didn't use our car once over the course of the two days we were there. Although the rooms were a bit small, they were clean with updated fixtures. The staff was very friendly, especially Millie/front desk, who was there to offer any help we needed. She was efficient and friendly and hotel is lucky to have her warm presence. Breakfast wasn't elaborate (it would have been nice to have yogurt or cereal available or other fruits than just apples) but we enjoyed the evening tea time with the delicious biscuits. The salt water pool was clean and nicely heated. The only frustrating issue was with the TV, as other guests mentioned on this link. We couldn't figure out how to use it (even changing channels) and when we decided to use our Netflix account, even getting to that was a challenge. Overall we intend to return to this area and will stay here!

Cute concept, really clean-but they have a lot of kinks to work out. WiFi didn’t work. tv was impossible to figure out and barely worked once we did figure it out. Today’s staff was not friendly. Our room was tiny but well situated with lots of storage, great aesthetic BUT the a/c is FREEZING when it does turn on, and blows right into your face while you’re sleeping. A wall unit situated on the upper wall is a better idea. Each room needs a kettle. I really dislike having to explain myself to the front desk staff every time I need hot water for my tea. An electric espresso machine is better utilized than dip bag coffee, bigger cups needed with to-go paper cups because there’s nowhere to sit once you get your breakfast pastry and coffee at six am…..

The room was very tight and the shower flooded the drain was dirty. Also there was not enough parking for property occupancy. The swing front desk young lady was polite but the day shift young lady upon arrival was not very welcoming as she seen us and stepped into the back. I wouldn’t stay here again.

My husband and I had an absolutely miserable experience with the staff at Woods Cove Inn. We have never left a negative hotel review before, but after the amount of stress and financial hardship this situation has caused us, and the complete lack of care we received in return, we feel obligated to warn others. It took more than 48 hours and multiple attempts to finally get a manager to call us back. The staff members we spoke with were incredibly rude. We were repeatedly talked over, had voices raised at us, and were given conflicting and false information. Most seriously, we were DOUBLE CHARGED for our stay. We paid at checkout, then three days later the hotel manually entered my husband’s credit card number and charged us again for an amount even higher than the cost of our stay. The manager offered no meaningful help and repeatedly insisted the second transaction was a “hold,” despite our bank confirming it was an actual completed charge. Our bank has advised us on next steps to dispute and escalate the unauthorized charge, and we are pursuing every available avenue. What is most upsetting is the complete lack of urgency or concern. A guest should not have to spend days chasing down management after being charged twice, only to be dismissed and told nothing can be done. Woods Cove Inn is a beautiful property, which makes this even more disappointing.
