Hi Alban! I'm sorry if you had any difficulty checking in. That's weird because we have a 24/7 phone line and online check-in. You would have been checking yourself in :) You can even receive your room number and door code via email and text so there shouldn't have been any difficulty checking in. We can even open a room door remotely if you have difficulty or lock yourself and there's someone on site 24/7 so I'm not sure where the issue would lie but we're sorry for any inconvenience that was caused. We're very happy to hear you enjoyed the lake (it's beautiful with a high water level now!), the calm environment and your teenage daughter enjoyed the TV :) Thank you for your review and thank you for choosing the Lakeview Motel. Hi Richard! I do have to correct you on a few things that you mention that are incorrect. The windows all lock and the TV's all have cable television stations, not just over the air channels (you can't even get over the air channels out here, LOL) If you were unable to figure out how to lock the windows and couldn't find the TV channels you were looking for you should have let the motel know and we would have been happy to assist you. There's a 24/7 person on-site for handling just such questions and help is just a call away. I will never understand why a guest would rather remain unhappy with something just to go out of their way to take the time to complain about it online later but won't take a moment to let the motel know while they're there so their issue can be addressed and they can enjoy a pleasant stay. Maybe there's more reward in complaining than enjoying oneself. Me personally, I'd rather take responsibility and solve the problem (especially when the issues are small and the result of the guest just not paying attention) than wait until after checkout to complain online. Hi Richard! Comfortable bed, good shower and a view of the lake. We've got it all! :) You're right, we could use some refurbishment but we're just a little bitty motel in the middle of nowhere so we try to keep our costs down. We're working with what we've got and try to keep our eye on the prize: CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND FRIENDLY. We pride ourselves on those three things so it's great to hear you feel we succeeded. Hi Cynthia! Quiet, good. Friendly, good. Ripped sheets, not good! That's very surprising to hear because all the sheets and towels were very recently replaced with all brand new ones. Nothing would have been old or tattered. I'll bring your comments to the attention of the staff to get to the bottom of it There's never any excuse for anything like that especially with brand new linens, towels, etc. and there's definitely never any excuse for any lapse in cleanliness standards.
