"The sea view was great and definitely one of the highlights of the stay.
However, there were a few things to take note of. The power points on the balcony didn’t work, so we had to check around the apartment to find out which ones were working.
No toothbrushes were provided initially. They only provided them after we requested, so it’s better to bring your own toiletries.
For food, I would recommend grabbing food from outside as it’s much cheaper. Only one restaurant at the resort was open during our stay, and the prices were quite expensive. There are some shops outside, but the choices are limited. There are also 24/7 shops nearby, which are convenient for emergency purchases.
Breakfast was fair—not too bad, but nothing special.
Room cleaning could also be improved. The cleaning was quite basic, and the restroom wasn’t properly cleaned. Also, do check whether the balcony has been cleaned, as ours wasn’t cleaned until we specifically asked them to do it.
One good thing is that Parade Mall is right beside the resort. It has a supermarket, money changers, and baby shops, which was very convenient for us."
"A secluded private beach that stretches for miles. A serene property, with a Breath taking view of the waters surrounded by mountains.
The perfect place to relax and rejuvenate."
"Lovely clean room.
Open air reception area was lovely and we used the pool table several times. Staff very helpful. Breakfast buffet had lots of variety. We really enjoyed our stay."
"Hotel was great, the swimming pools and water features were really impressive. Rooms are big and spacious and the balcony was a nice feature. Gym was good and well equipped. Breakfast had a large selection of foods catering for all tastes which was great. I highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in langkawi"
The Danna Langkawi - A Member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World
10/10 Excellent
"We have just returned from a wonderful stay at The Danna.
From the moment we arrived, every member of staff made us feel incredibly welcome. From the porters, concierges & reception team to housekeeping, the F&B staff & the Resort Manager, everyone was professional, warm & cheerful, & nothing ever seemed too much trouble.
Remarkably staff appeared to know which room we were staying in, how long we had been there & even how much time remained of our holiday. We were made to feel very special, something we saw being extended to all guests throughout our stay. We're not usually ones for any fuss, but all the thoughtful touches were delivered so discreetly and naturally that it simply enhanced the experience.
Our room (419), a Grand Marina View room, was exceptionally spacious & comfortable, with a king-size bed, armchairs, dressing table, two wardrobes, plenty of storage, a large balcony & a large bathroom with a bathtub, walk-in rain shower & double sinks.
We also appreciated the daily replenishment of filtered water, Nespresso pods & TWG tea bags, along with delicious gluten-free sweet treats to accommodate a dietary requirement.
Housekeeping was outstanding throughout (with special thanks to Karmila, Fatin & Amim for their excellent service).
The restaurants were all superb & catered for allergens very well; staff awareness & knowledge of ingredients made us feel confident we were in safe hands. Special thanks to Hakimi, Ilah, Fatihah, the Chefs & all the F&B team."
