"It was relaxing to stay there. I enjoyed the fact that there was a full kitchen and dining area. I wish that we had thought to reserve a fishing boat for at least a half a day."

"Entry doors, windows, air conditioner and comforter all need updating. Freshening up paint will make it more appealing. Weeds and outdoor light posts make the property look terribly run down. Like the newer sink and toilet and tv. The staff are VERY nice and helpful."
"Great summer location. Large pool and hot tub area a bit far to walk from living areas - but an easy drive. Some deferred maintenance detracts from the overall experience. We had terrible back pain from the sagging mattress ‘memory’ concavity. No breakfast locally, but excellent Coho Cafe just 15 minute drive. Room equipped with toaster and microwave on addition to coffee maker."
"The facility itself was terrific! Everything was very clean and well maintained. The only problem was an email was sent with our code to get into the room. We did not write the code down and when we arrive, we found that there was no Internet available. We found a liquor store nearby and was able to use their Internet to retrieve our entry code. The lesson that we learn is write the code down.
Our bed was a little noisy when we laid on it. But we had an amazing night of sleep every night that we were there.
The walk from our room to Lake Superior was short, but we had to walk down about 100 stairs to get to the lake. Once we made it to the lake, it was simply breathtaking and very relaxing. If we had to travel to this area again, we would definitely book this lodging place again!"
"Cascade Lodge is a roadside haven along Lake Superior. It's a great place for solo travelers like myself passing through and it is a wonderful place for families who are interested in exploring the area. Conveniently close in distance to Lutsen and Grand Marais."
"Beautiful lake view!!!! Rooms nice, clean a little old, bathroom cramped. Who cares! View was a 15 on a scale of 10! Great little hotel. Recommended!"
