"Fisherman’s Wharf is, overall, a very convenient, self-contained property. You can eat at the tavern without ever leaving the grounds, and once you’re there, you can easily walk just about anywhere you want to go in Boothbay Harbor.
Our room had a small deck with a partial view of the harbor, which was lovely. We could see the public dock, which was always full of activity, and we were right next door to the Applejack Schooner. It was a great location for simply sitting back and watching everything going on around the harbor.
My only real negative would be the condition of the room itself. “A little beat up” is probably the best way to describe it. The bathroom seemed quite outdated, particularly the bathtub, and the room itself could definitely use a fresh coat of paint and some updating. That said, it was very clean, which is certainly important and worth mentioning.
Parking was interesting! There is a parking attendant who parks your car for you, which I assume is at least partly because the parking area is somewhat limited and awkward. It worked fine, but it was a little different from what we expected.
Overall, the location and convenience are really the selling points of Fisherman’s Wharf. Being able to park the car, walk everywhere, enjoy the activity of the harbor and have a restaurant right on the property made it a very convenient place to stay."
