The reservation through Expedia was changed without notification. Requested a Dbl room King Bed. We were given a gaud room with mirrors and hot tub. No sitting area for guests. Room was directly across from another room under noisy construction (drills, hammering). We showed them the reservation from Expedia. They said they received the reservation with a standard king. The one we wanted was not available. Later the desk clerk came to the room and said they did have a double available after all if we wanted to move. We had already unpacked and did not have time to repack and move as we were leaving for a prior engagement and we couldn’t be late. The clerk was quick to blame whoever sent the reservation to the hotel, did not try to rectify the issue at first until speaking with a manager and assigned a room next to construction. We are still waiting for a receipt they said they would email because they had no hard copies. We did receive one from Expedia stating the reservation for a king double room suite. I have NEVER had this issue with Expedia or Country Inn Suites. I have been a Choice Hotel and Expedia members for years. It makes me nervous now to use Expedia and wonder if this all had been avoided if we went directly to the Hotel.
