Despite that it is an old building, it is tidy and well-maintained. The room(old-style) was clean and tidy. The food was okay.
It was quiet at night as the room was facing the cathedral.
The surrounding area is nice and has a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.โ

โWe stayed on a Sunday evening so probably less busy than many days. Plenty of parking which was free if you registered at the hotel for 24 hours from arrival so we had time to visit the cathedral on the morning of our departure. Staff were welcoming and we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a modernised suite. King sized bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was sufficient with a fair degree of choice but would have been great if coffee machine available for more choice than just filter...

The heating was on a schedule such that at night the temperature in the house was around 6 degrees giving me a backache until I asked the owner to keep the temperature at a constant 23 degrees.
