"Beautiful and quiet. The chef is amazing and our dinner was delicious. The manager/waiter was not so pleasant. I think it may have been a language barrier issue as we don’t speak Italian and he doesn’t speak English and he didn’t have much patience for translating. We also found the men who checked us in were not very welcoming. For such a beautiful hotel the front desk people should be much more welcoming. "Great place for a couple of days in Matera. Really friendly staff, the breakfast was good for being Italian breakfast and my room was clean and had an lovely bed. If i ever go back to Matera I'll chose Il Carrboro again. "
