"Very handy hotel within easy (3min) walking distance of Pisa airport. Rooms are basic but very clean and great for an overnight stay if you have an early flight to catch. We arrived the day before our flight so we're able to leave our bags and spend the day in Pisa (10 mins. from the hotel using the Pisa Mover train at the airport (buy a return ticket - it's slightly cheaper). "

"It was a cute place. They apparently have breakfast but couldn't find it in the morning. It may be at the residence next door. When you arrive, there is a bell by the outside gate to push and the owner will come over. I booked a room with 2 beds as it was me and my teenage daughter. the owner said we could only sleep on the one unless we paid an additional $10 EU."

"The property is in walking distance to the airport. We received clear messages from the owner how to access the building and the the room itself. It is very basic but clean, enough for a few days for a stopover. For being close to the airport it is noisy but we were tired so didn’t wake up at night. "

"The location is perfect - a few steps away from tower and cathedral. The staff was very responsive via what’s app until we paid local tax and after that she stopped answering. The B&B is located 4 flights of stairs in the building, once we got there, to get to my room I had to climb a narrow spiral staircase with no hot water in the bathroom. My luggage did not fit through the staircase so I had to leave it at the main floor of the B&B. I called and messaged the owner and my questions never got...

"A little hard to find but worth it when we did, very good location in the centre of beautiful Lucca. A very helpful guy on reception helped us with directions and taxis We had a large and very clean room in a lovely old house."

"Simple but just enough for one night. The lady who gridded us was very nice. Room door very difficult to open with key. Bathroom not in room but still private. You have to come out of your room into a common small area and then go into the bathroom. It was kinda different, but I did not see anyone else there to share bathroom. Very convenient to walk to station , 3 blocks and a 15 min walk to the leaning tower where there were many restaurants . Very safe walk . Many small stores to buy water,...

"This is a lovely, clean place to stay just a few minutes walk from Pisa airport. There was tea and coffee and snacks for us to help ourselves and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable."

"Luisa is a wonderful host, allowed us to leave our cases before check in which was very much appreciated. 2 complementary drinks in fridge tea/coffee on communal hallway along with a water filter. Room spotless. Cleaners so nice very helpful rooms lovely complimentary toiletries. Quiet. Beds very comfortable great location only short walk to leaning tower of pisa. "Overall very clean newly refurbished rooms, unfortunately there is only one bathroom / shower area to be shared by all guests. Potentially you could have eight to ten people accessing the bathroom facilities. There appears to be four different rooms on the floor. If you are staying here you have to phone ahead to arrange the handover of the keys as there isn’t anyone on-site "

"The hotel is in the centre of Luca and within walking distance of anything you could want within the walled city. I felt safe as a solo female traveller and was comforted by the rooms' security. Breakfast was outstanding, the staff was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, and the showers had great pressure with lots of hot water. "This property is extremely phenomenal. It’s built in the 1700s and has been well maintained. The area is 9 minutes from the walled city of Lucca. A taxi will cost you 15 euros there but if you’re up for an excursion the hotel rents bike for 30 euros a day. My wife and I enjoyed our stay because the host and their family are extremely lovely."

"Beware - I booked through Expedia but will not do that again as when couldn’t get a flight in time for the first day, and I tried to change the booking to arrive the second day of my week long stay, it cancelled the whole booking and re-booked at a much higher rate. "Villa Alta provides beautiful history and art-intense setting, wonderful atmosphere and comfortable conditions for memorable romantic, family or individual stay and events. It is located very close to the cities of Lucca and Pisa, surrounded by the very well-designed and kept Mediterranean garden with the clean and beautiful pool aria. Our family enjoyed peace and quiet at the time of our stay. Food was great, too. We highly recommend this place. "
