You are near the airport so planes can be heard above relatively loud and often but it did not impact our sleep. It was a short (2-3m) walk to many dining options for food or coffee as well. Location is great 30 minute walk to beautiful little town Panormo which has plenty restaurants, bars and a few shops. 30 minute drive into the city of Rethymno. The deluxe pool-view apartment was spacious, with a small kitchen which was great if you want to save on eating out every meal. Particularly as there are several supermarkets within a couple of minutes walk, with fresh ingredients. We loved making our own Greek salads for lunch on the balcony (with ouzo of course!).
