"I would mot recommend this accommodation. The location is great, but it is barely enough equipped, not very clean, and there is no other way than to disturb the host to get in the house every time you come in. It could be a nice place to stay if the host improves it, but as it is, it is definitely not worth the price! "

Location right across from the train station was a huge plus."

"While it’s a do it yourself hotel, it’s really not bad at all. You get to do your laundry for free and there is a dining area that offers free coffee and tea. We got lucky with the staff that helped us out when requesting our Yamato transport and he stayed and helped us till the transport was completed. "

"We stayed for 2 nights. Hotel is walking distance from the train station which is convenient. You are able to rent a bike for free! So much fun. Great amenities. Staff are so kind, nice and very helpful. They also speak English. There is Lawson next to the hotel so you can easily walk over there to buy snacks and drinks. We enjoyed it and highly recommend it! "Very clean room, they upgraded us for free so we can have three beds instead of two. They gave combs, toothbrush n tooth paste, shsvers, and slippers. The water pressure was perfect. It’s right next to the Kyoto station where you can shop and eat. It was easy check in and out, I didn’t have to speak to anyone"
"If you have staid in an Apa before you probably know what you are in for, but overall solid value! Big bed, clean and compact. Bathroom is modular a bit small by western standards but still very usable and clean! No complaints here!"
"breakfast and dinner were included with hotel stay. train station was 8-minute walk. Bus stops where steps from hotel entrance. Staff was helpful and friendly; they also spoke English. I would definitely stay here, when I return to Kyoto. "
