"We loved our stay! Weā€™re from out of town, so being able to glamp with the needed tools to cook was such a fun experience. Itā€™s also a good location to do activities at Mt. Fuji and the nearby lakes. Not all staff spoke English, so we had to use a translation app to communicate. Despite this, they were all very professional and helpful. One thing to note, it is in the nature so there are bugs and leaf that got in the room. Bring bug spray!"

Fujisan Onsen Hotel Kaneyamaen

Fujisan Onsen Hotel Kaneyamaen

10/10 Excellent
"This is my second time staying at Fujisan Onsen Hotel Kaneyamaen, and once again, it has been nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Even during check-in, the staff personally escorted us to our room while taking the time to introduce the hotel and share about its many facilities. There was simply so much to enjoy throughout our stay. We started with a lovely welcome tea overlooking a tranquil stream flowing through a forested area. The hotel also has a huge, beautifully landscaped Japanese garden where you can take your time to stroll and immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings. In the afternoon, we were treated to a lovely violin performance while enjoying hot tea and sweet potatoes, once again overlooking the beautiful stream. We also had the chance to soak our feet in the garden's foot onsen, which was such a relaxing experience. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Dinner was served in an enclosed private dining room, giving us plenty of privacy to enjoy our meal. Another highlight was the lounge overlooking Mount Fuji, where there was an impressive complimentary selection of wine, drinks, snacks and even ice cream! Guests can also dress up in beautiful kimonos, adding a little something special to the whole Japanese experience. Every evening, the hotel puts on traditional drum performances followed by bingo, with attractive prizes for lucky winners. It was such a fun way to end the day!"
