"Room was barely clean whilst half lights not working. Rails to stairs hadn’t been cleaned in ages and covered in grime. At busy times the bar staff were useless more intent on chatting than helping out else where. Food was ok but the breakfast was about the worst I’d had anywhere. On one good note the chap on night duty was really helpful."

"The room was spacious with a big bathroom, and access to a shared living room was an extra bonus. All of the staff were really friendly and the breakfast was great."

"Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. It’s a shame as it’s in beautiful grounds and the hall looks stunning as you arrive up the drive: it’s shabby and in need of TLC. I wasn’t in the main hotel I was in an out building a good 5 min walk away. I had to eat at the hotel as the local pub is closed on a Monday. Don’t look at the website it’s out of date. Food menu was limited. I didn’t have breakfast - I suspect it wouldn’t have been nice! On a positive the girl behind the bar was lovely."

"Had a lovely stay the staff are so nice and helpful. Beds are very comfortable and the food is great. Was so nice being somewhere that caters for gluten free with no problems. This is our second stay here and we will definitely be back."
