"Expedia website says they have a shuttle to and from airport and can be used around the city up to 6 miles out. When we asked about travel up the hill, so many excuses as to why it would not be possible. The hotel seemed to be short staff. Breakfast was Okay. Too small of a space for guest. One man running ragged to keep food out. Lobby and breakfast area reminded me of a worn ski lodge. Pool was not open. Landscape was needed, the promotional picture is not what was there. There for 2 days and nights and had to ask for towels and toliet paper. Wonderful shower head and good hot water. Lobby restrooms were off limit to guest. Large sign posted for staff only. Loads of trash around the outside dumpster. The cute railroad items, need help if used for display. Great opportunities for this site, if spruced up but looks like no one cares."
"The beds and linens were super comfortable! The best amenity that they provide is free access to the gym in the 4-star hotel across the street as they are sister properties - the "gym" they speak of is more like a country club, separated by gender, that also contain lockers, showers (w/ soap, shampoo, conditioner), towels, and a wet & dry sauna. This alone made the Voyager Inn a huge win in amenities, even though there was no free breakfast set up yet, there was at least coffee in the mornings and water. The staff was very helpful and accommodating - the first room I entered had the heat blasting on high even with the thermostat turned fully down so they quickly reassigned me. I had also requested a rollaway bed and the one provided was actually very comfortable! With the couple of problems we encountered, the manager found solutions to satisfy the stay and kept us happy. The location is walkable to good restaurants, bike rentals, cafes, and gift shops. I would stay here again."
"Hotel staff were nice and gave great dining recommendation's. Room was clean and comfortable. Wasn’t a suite as hotel name suggests. Outside grounds had a lot of strewn garbage laying about unfortunately.
Only other issue was unreliable taxi service-security kindly ordered for us but arrived very late after a second call-not a hotel problem but an issue for guests."
"I was exceptionally disappointed having paid $299USD for a room that looked like it was part of a horror film set. From blood splatter on the wall in the bathroom, two of three broken bathroom lights, black mold in the shower, busted blinds, squeaky beds and a horrid smell throughout. When I searched the day of my stay what the rate was, it showed $249CAD (almost half of what I was paying). The staff were of no help to remedy this situation or cancel our stay. I am hopeful that Ramada or Wyndham or the location itself will make this right. I have a dozen pics to show the ‘shelter’. Oh, and a very bad part of town!!"
