Breakfast had to be ordered 30 minutes before time as the mother of the family serves as the cook too. As there is not a restaurant very nearby we suggested to them to either get microwaves in each room or 2 in the dining room. Guests need to be able to warm up food. Need rubber mats in bathrooms as tiles are very slippery and people can get injured easily."

The retreat is very beautiful and lust but it’s so far from the Tam Coc main city, very excluded and quiet property. The bungalow we stayed in was nice but small. We stayed in the 1st one of the 3 bungalows in the same section. The AC didn’t work well and the drain in the restroom smell so badly. The balcony to view the pond is nice but so small we didn’t go out there plus it was so hot n humid. The place came w/ free breakfast but the food was just OK even when we had lunch there, it was OK. Ninh Bình is an absolutely city! I fell in love w/ the place and the nature. I will come back again but stay at a hotel closer to the city for easy access and walkable to restaurants and shops."
