"Great location, but the staff wasn't very friendly. The pillows are extra hard and the bathroom is really small, overall, the hotel is still a good place to stay if you're looking for convenience where it's not too far from the rail and everyone knows which hotel you're talking about because it has the large Godzilla head on top of the hotel."

"When in Shinjuku, we stay at the conveniently located Hotel Sunroute Shinjuku. It's across the street from Shinjuku Station and a large shopping center. The rooms are small, as expected in the heart of Shinjuku. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The TV displays which floors have how many clothes washers and dryers in use, so you don't have to go up and down looking for available machines. The hotel is dated, but comfortable and convenient. I checked our luggage with the front desk. This took about 45 minutes, due to a finicky app and a front desk that couldn't/wouldn't just write it up for you. The breakfast buffet looked okay, but seemed overpriced, so we went elsewhere. We'll stay here again as the location can't be beat for its proximity to the trains and shopping."

"Great staff that was friendly and very helpful. Great location, just minutes away from the popular Shinjuku shops, restaurants, and arcades. The only downside was the bathroom smelled like mold and there was mold on the walls in the bathroom. It was a short stay and we told the staff, so hopefully they address it."
