"Very clean, some of the food was very good but over priced. They offer a varety of things to do. The couple's massage was amazing and they treat you very well in the spa. Drinks were hit or miss depending on where you went"
Whitney Peak Hotel Reno, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"From the moment we arrived at Whitney Peak, we knew we’d picked the right place. The location couldn’t be better — right next to the Reno Arch and within walking distance of so many great restaurants, coffee shops, and entertainment.
The staff is the standout here: warm, genuinely friendly, and eager to help with anything from dinner recommendations to arranging transportation. It never felt like “just another hotel stay” — it felt personal.
Our room was spotless, modern, and spacious, with huge windows framing the city and mountains. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the linens felt luxurious, and the little touches — like locally inspired decor and high-quality toiletries — made it feel special.
One of the biggest perks is that it’s smoke-free, which is a rare and welcome change in downtown Reno. You can actually breathe fresh air as you walk through the lobby. The vibe is relaxed but still upscale, and there’s a cool, boutique feel throughout.
The climbing wall outside is an absolute showstopper — even if you’re not climbing it, it gives the place a sense of energy and adventure. The fitness center is excellent, and the on-site restaurant serves a fantastic breakfast and creative cocktails in the evening.
All in all, Whitney Peak delivers the perfect balance of comfort, style, and location. Whether you’re in Reno for business, a getaway, or just passing through, this hotel is a breath of fresh air. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the city."
"5 star rating, because I dont want to ding them. I made the mistake of not researching what I was getting into. Good for the money if you need to be in downtown reno. This is Student Housing, which they didn't go out of their way to mention. The unit itself was nice, and clean. The neighborhood (downtown Reno) is like a trashy vegas. There was dog poop in the hallways. Hallways and common areas are what you would imagine being at student housing. 2 am fire alarm pull, was not pleasant. Parking is on the poor end as well. "
"Such a great experience at Barsala in Reno. Communication was great. Location was great. Honestly this place was above our expectations. Great for family or multiple people. "
