Though the room itself was cute, we had several issues with our stay. It was difficult to check in because the pedestrian gate wasn't working and we were not notified of this issue until the following morning. Of the several emails I received from the Iris leading up to my stay, none of them mentioned the issue with the pedestrian gate. We were also told that we could leave our luggage in the office after we checked out on Sunday. However, when we checked out Sunday morning, there was no one in the office and we had to call a manager to resolve the issue. The staff was responsive to issues when we contacted them, but it was frustrating that there were these issues to begin with.

We really enjoyed our stay at this motel. When we walked in there were friendship bracelets and a welcome card from the staff! Very personable. The room was a little small for the 4 of us, but for the price for the weekend it wasn't too bad.

Uncomfortable Sleep Due To Air Cooling Unit

It was a convenient location. The rooms are really small for two people to navigate. The air cooling unit was so loud that we could not sleep without wearing earplugs or suffering through the heat. When we complained about the noise, we were offered either a sound machine or a box fan. This led me to believe the problem was already noted and the room was rented anyway.

Gated parking and contactless check-in/out was good. My door needed service, however, as it was difficult to lock and open. Also, my door was open when I checked in. Not sure if the staff had trouble with it like I did during my stay. Besides those easily fixable things, I liked this place and would use it again next time I'm in town.
