"Overall had a very good stay at Cove Haven for several days, was a bit worried seeing quite a few negative reviews about cleanliness and property condition. We stayed in the Champaign Tower and while yes, the property is dated and shows signs of aging and needing to be updated, the room was clean and really enjoyed the personal indoor pool and the Champaign tower tub was a very unique and fun experience! Hopefully the management puts some investment into the property, such great potential with updates as this is a one of a kind romantic getaway up in the northeast!"

"The room needs updated as there marks all over the walls. The shower water was always warm not hot and our ice machine on our floor was broken. Staff was friendly. Right before we exited our room we heard a crash and two hallway ceiling tiles fell on a housekeepers head. She ended up going to the hospital. "

"Overall good stay, breakfast was acceptable but seating was a bit difficult as there was an event in town and hotel was full. However, the towel situation was an issue. We booked a room for three but were only provided two sets of towels. When we asked for more we were advised there weren't any, but were offered a few pool towels. This would've been acceptable except a, they are smaller & thinner than full sized towels; and b, those were also in short supply so instead of fresh towels on the second day we had to reuse the old ones (which would be fine unless you have a messy teenager who threw them on the floor after use) AND there were zero towels in the pool room to use after the pool. It's bad enough to not even be offered daily housekeeping (we really just wanted the trash to be emptied) but to not even have enough towels (let alone fresh ones) is really not acceptable. "

"The room had some cleanliness issues—there was orange mold along the bottom of the shower door, and there was a noticeable smell in the room that wasn’t very pleasant. It was also fairly noisy at night due to traffic from the nearby road. On a positive note, the bed and pillows were comfortable, which made it easier to get a good night’s rest. The staff were fine, though nothing particularly stood out during our stay. Breakfast was okay but somewhat limited—mostly carbs, no eggs, and the bananas weren’t quite ripe yet. Parking, however, was a strong point: the lot was well-lit and felt safe. "
