"May 10, 2026 We had a wonderful stay at DeSoto Bed and Breakfast Inn. The home is beautiful, charming, and filled with historic Savannah character, while still feeling warm and comfortable. A special thank you to Rick, the Innkeeper, who made our stay even more enjoyable. His hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail abd historical knowledge shared made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. The organic breakfast was majestic — truly King and Queen worthy. It was fresh, delicious, beautifully prepared, and such a lovely highlight of our stay. The location was perfect for enjoying both Savannah and Tybee Island, giving us the best of historic charm and coastal relaxation. The rooms, front and back porches were cozy, comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, and everything felt peaceful, personal, and memorable. I would highly recommend DeSoto Bed and Breakfast Inn to anyone looking for a charming, welcoming, and truly special Savannah/Tybee Island getaway. "

"Clean room very convient location"

"I was surprised by the state of our room considering we have stayed here before and it was great last time. This time however, there were strands of hair EVERYWHERE. On the floor, in the shower, on some of the towels. Considering we both have extremely low cut hair (buzzed), we knew it wasn’t from us. Other than that, it was okay. The view of the ocean was nice. "

"I believe the part of the hotel we stayed in was not part of the newer renovated rooms, the room we had was comfortable and very clean. The room was small and the bathroom was very tiny, but since it was just my husband and I it was adequate. We only stayed one night. The bed was very comfortable! I would definitely stay again but if I were staying multiple days I'd get a bigger room. The front desk clerk was very pleasant and welcoming! The air conditioner worked very well and the water pressure was excellent. The room rate was great for what we got! The pool looked very nice and was crystal clear although we didn't get a chance to use it. The motel was only a short walk to the beach!"

"Although the room was clean it had limited things like silverware etc. The room had peeling paint etc. Bathroom was tiny. View of ocean was obstructed "

"I liked the court yard, I liked the location. I wish we had a grill for cooking out. Parking was tight. But all I'm all. I was good, clean, and adiquit."

"The porch and outdoor furniture were noticeably unclean. The yard looked like it hadn’t been swept in several days, and the seating areas were dirty. Breakfast was another issue, which was especially disappointing considering this was a bed‑and‑breakfast and I stayed for two days. On the first morning, I went to check on breakfast around 9:25 a.m. and was told it was served at 9. There was no indication that I needed to be there exactly at 9 a.m. or that breakfast would not be available afterward. The man at the door questioned me abruptly — “You staying here? Which room you staying in?” — which made me uncomfortable. A barefoot woman, who I assume also worked there, added, “Sorry, no breakfast, you should have come at 9,” even though it wasn’t even 9:30 yet. The next day, I didn’t return for breakfast. As I was leaving, I saw the same man. He looked at me and said, “You miss breakfast again,” almost as if he was taunting me. I smiled and walked away. He then asked, “You’re leaving?” I nodded, and he replied, “Come back again. Hope you enjoyed your stay.”The entire experience left me disappointed."

"We arrived a little after the office closed and needed to call the customer service number for the rental agency to figure out which room we were in. They answered right away and got us squared away. The room itself (a 3 bedroom condo, really), was great. The bathrooms and kitchen had been updated recently and everything was clean and orderly. "
