“The hotel was dirty; some elevator tiles were broken and sliding around, and the lobby was falling apart. A horrible first impression. The ceiling in our room was peeling and had water stains; the light fixtures on the wall were just hanging there. We had to ask for more towels and toilet paper. The only bright spot was that the workers were nice and helpful. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the attendants were nice. It was disappointing that I had to ask for towels and toilet paper....

“We were on the road and it was getting late so we needed a place to stay for the night so we picked this property. The room that we had chosen happened to be on the second floor and there was not an elevator. I'm 71 with my wife and since we hadn't planned to spend the night we had our large suitcases with us. I asked the desk clerk if I could stay on the first floor and they were very incommodating and gave us a room on the first floor.”
