“The Follansbee had great history and the architecture was stunning. The beds and pillows could definitely use an upgrade. Our beds were hard and pillows were flat. We weren’t crazy about the breakfast but the next person may think it was great, that’s very subjective. The grounds, the lake, the church, I give all of that an excellent! I would definitely stay again with upgraded bedding..”

“Our stay at the Tilton Holiday Inn Express was very nice. It is a clean hotel with a good continental breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the iron and ironing board worked well. The towels are a little thin, but other than that everything about the room was fine.”

“great b and b with a wonderful breakfast”

“I just loved this place. The self check in was convenient and the walk in shower was amazing. I wish all hotels had them. We ate at the restaurant next door and the food was great.”

“Very clean and friendly staff”

“The front desk staff were wonderful. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was better than I expected. Loads of variety. The property could use a facelift - - fresh paint etc. The blind in our room was broken. Now all in all it waas a very pleasant stay. I would stay here again.”

“It is cosy and family-friendly inn. Staff is kind, and warm breakfast is very good.”

“If you are looking for an authentic lodging and dining experience, the Tilton Inn is your place. The owners, staff, and the restaurant chef are top-shelf, friendly, and make for perfect accommodations. Such a breath of fresh air from the white-bread franchise hotel experience. Don't miss it before it's gone!”

“No hot water apparently a long standing issue with this place. The rooms in the pool area have chronic claustrophobia. The house staff know of the hot water problem. Two turtles are brutally in carcerated in the office area;for satisfying Feng shui go elsewhere. My wife contained me from complaining about the situation Surely other guys were encouraged to explode,,,”

“I was expecting minimal amenities, but i was sold on the glowing reviews of the homey kitchen available for guest use. However, when i arrived, i found that the 3 kitchen sinks had out of order signs on them. One sink had even been plugged with spray foam. There were multiple signs saying we should use paper and plastic dinnerware. I'm not sure how i'm supposed to fry an egg using paper and plastic. It is so frustrating when these new management companies take advantage of glowing reviews...

“We loved this location. Loved the history of the Shaker Village and the Dwelling had the museum on the bottom 2 floors. Don’t expect a modern hotel, expect a comfortable historical experience. Staff was lovely and friendly. Rooms were quiet. Great hiking spots and close to Lebanon if you need anything/want a places to eat.”

“This was a very poor experience. We had no water for shower, and no water in kitchen sink. We checked in late at night, got up to take showers, and weren't able to do so because there was no water. We'd rented the cabin to go to a wedding and weekend events. Checked out an hour before checkout time to get to the event--unshowered-- and called the host, who didn't pick up. Left a message reporting the problem, and then we were told that we should have spoke to him to have him fix the problem...
