“Breakfast was ok the fruits were fresh but the gallo pinto to dry. The rooms are big but outdated. No air conditioning. The surrounds are beautiful. If you don’t need air conditioned you will be fine. The bed is not comfortable neither the pillows. ”

“Wow this place was amazing. The room had a balcony that opened to a rain forest and every day you walk through it with chocolate trees, bananas and the resident sloth to get your breakfast. At breakfast you are met by the nicest people that help you work on your Spanish. The only neg is it is right on a main road so big trucks go by a lot, be mindful if this would bother your sleeping. We were fine... def stay here it is incredible”

“I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. And don't forget about breakfast. Everyday, we had homemade to order...
