The stay was good for what we needed which was mainly just a place to sleep. We stayed 3 nights and were able to check in at 11pm no problem. The staff was super helpful and kind. If you have seen other reviews complaining about parking they are not wrong, parking is very limited. While we didn't have a massive problem with it we did have to park in a very tight spot one of the days. Overall there's nothing insanely stand out but it was pretty solid.

Not very clean on the outside but the room itself yes. The room we rented had a jacuzzi. Very nice!! Not very comfortable with people asking for money on the property.

I rarely leave reviews, and after more than 40 years in hospitality, I tend to notice details most guests may not. That’s exactly why I felt this property deserved recognition. My stay at Discovery Inn exceeded my expectations. The property was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and comfortable. What stood out most was how safe and cared for I felt. The staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive, making sure my needs were met without hesitation. In an industry where customer service can feel like an afterthought, Discovery Inn gets the basics right—cleanliness, comfort, safety, and genuine respect for guests. If you’re looking for an affordable, well-run hotel in the Hayward area, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Discovery Inn. They earned this review, and that’s something I don’t say often.

The room had been remodeled and had nice amenities. The area is close to downtown Hayward and BART. Staff was excellent. I didn't like the smell of the room (the cleaner/disinfectant was super strong), and the room was noisy. Also, the parking is very tight.
