"Pretty solid stay! I just needed about 3 days when visiting Kyoto and Osaka. I was surprised that they wanted me to turn in my key every time I went out though. You need to make a reservation if you want to eat breakfast, I didn't go because it seemed like hassle "

"Close to bamboo forest, being first time in Japan, the meaning of adults only is different than at resorts, but l was surprised by the comfort and the shuttle service provided. And the breakfast sandwiches were delicious. "

"Lovely 100-year old house repurposed as guest house. Modern additions such as air con and shower room added around original building with wooden sliding doors and futon beds. Lovely, helpful owners met us and showed us everything - thank you!"

"This was a phenomenal hotel! The location is close to the subway, but the soundproofing is excellent. There are two major supermarkets one block away, convenience stores across the street, huge Starbucks, food court with excellent meals (Bivi). Within the hotel, you have every convenience you could want, even a shared microwave and public bath on the first floor. The elevators are fast, the rooms are exceptionally clean (I mean luxury hotel standards.) There’s a huge cafe next to the lobby. What’s also really nice is that you get some nice luxury touches in your room without the luxury price tag. The spa bathtub is absolutely worth it!!
It’s an amazing value! If it were not for wanting my own kitchenette, I would keep staying here for two months."
"Breakfast was great, Onsen was very sufficient and had private and public areas which I appreciate.
Guests on our floor were loud and the walls are thin, but hey, some tourists are like that and it’s not really the hotel’s fault. Everything else was perfect."
"Breakfast was great. We had ordered ala carte dinner and all items were very delicious.
Staff was very respectful and friendly.
The coffee shop had amazing tea and coffee.
We didn’t venture out there for shops so can’t say anything about other nearby shopping stores.
Rooms were spacious and clean. They had a common room to use with sofa etc. Loved the stay in this ryokan."
