Absolutely love this place it’s ideally situated for central Chania and just a few metres from the buzz of the harbour. The rooms are lovely and well equipped and the bed is so comfortable, bathroom perfect and very clean and housekeeping every day. You have to walk a short way to their sister hotel for breakfast but all adds to the ambience. The breakfasts are fab with lots of choice. The only tiny issue is that there is no lift...

Every single detail of the room is impeccable. The original distressed stained coffered ceilings, the wall murals, the furniture, the bathrooms, the configuration. As real estate owners we could even appreciate the level of detail in the electrical and plumbing. The patio was not huge but it was very adequate and provided an immersive feeling in the whole Hania Old Port vibe....

"Highly recommend staying at Alcanea. Eva, our host, was incredibly helpful and friendly. The staff/service was great. And the complimentary breakfast offered lots of local options and all were delicious. Best part of this stay was the view and location. The view of the port was awesome with the water, local bars/shops, and mountains in the distance. And there were dozens of restaurants and shops offering all we might need/want. This hotel made Chania feel like home."

Room had a comfortable bed and spacious shower with good water pressure and flow. Although on a busy street, we didn't have any noise issues and had a good night's sleep."
