Check to make sure it is actually open. We went last summer and loved it, but they are doing extensive renovations and we were unable to see much of anything. When it is open, it's awesome.

Walked down the bobsled run in Lake Placid. They also give rides over the summer. Very cool experience to see this course up close and personal. Also check out the Ski High Jump in Lake Placid. Beautiful views from the top.
