"The hostel was easy to find, but the reception couldn't speak Korean very well although they said they can, so I had to make every conversations with them in English. The room and amenities were clean in overall, but you should consider that the shower is shared, because if someone before you uses it rather less cleanly, the shower maybe somewhat unclean. "The place is clean, the bedrooms are spacious, the common rooms are cozy, the showers are high pressure, and the staff were very friendly. The only complaint is that the house dog situation was, for the time that I was there, a little concerning. They were quite vocal and unfriendly for the most part, apparently because they were in heat. I believe the staff when they say it's not always like that. But overall I greatly enjoyed Guest House Matsu so much that I kept wanting to spend time there...

"It was hard to get a goodnight sleep, people were very loud which at this point I had stayed in four hotels traveling all around Japan, besides that there were no amenities included which every other hotel offered. I had to pay 200 yen for just a towel. It’s located in a nice area. And I wouldn’t had minded the charge of amenities since I had my own, but the noice, people were not respectful at all and there was noice all night. "I stayed in a semi private room, and it was honestly brilliant. More hostels should do that, cause it was so nice to be able to have your own space, but not have to buy a single room. The other facilities were nice and clean. I also loved that I was invited to join on a night out when I checked in."

"Honestly between the other hotels and hostels I've stayed at so far, this one had the best bed. Not too soft and not too firm. I was really surprised at how clean the beds and bathrooms were. The living area downstairs is nice and cozy. I was able to chat with others and even met new travel buddy. I'm a chill Texas girl and it was fun meeting people from so many different backgrounds like Argentina, New Zealand, and Korea. I would definitely come again and recommend this place.
