The owner is super friendly and considerate, accessible at all times through Whats app. He had provided a delicious bottle of sake and traditional snack for us to enjoy, and took us to Kyoto station on the day of check out. All around a very safe and enjoyable ryokan. We highly recommend! "

"The owners are the sweetest. The hostel owner would give me snacks whenever I was working the common area, called taxis for me, and even directed me to a local festival happening in the area. The staff can speak english very well, and there was also many forgeiners in the guesthouse which was very reassuring. "Quaint, traditional guest house with a very kind host. Room was clean and futon mats were clean and comfortable. Our room had interior facing windows to a lovely garden to let the fresh air in. Made for a great authentic experience in Kyoto. Make sure you arrive within the check in hours; it is a family run establishment so they don’t have someone up 24/7."

"We were in transit to go to Kyushu the next day very early in the morning. We checked into this place late at night. We shared one room with four people. So basically we slept on futon Matts. But it was clean n no issues except shared bathroom required some waiting time. Other than that we were comfortable. "

"The beds in this capsule hotel are really big and comfy. The only thing that I would recommend to them is the provision of wet sanitizing tissue to clean the toilet sitting before use. It is a public restroom so sanitation must be a priority. Apart from that I will recommend it to friends and travellers on the go."

"Located in a quaint spot just off Kyoto station, 8-15 mins walk depending on how fast you walk, you get to be in a quiet space. Room is clean, equipped with a collapsible pantry, microwave too! Best part is that the toilet’s equipped with an overhead heater, its a very nice touch. Warm and fuzzy after a hot bath. "
