"I was very concerned with some of the poor reviews I saw before booking the signature suite, but I must say this was a very great deal for the set up I met. We went as a family of 5 with 2 kids under 6 and 2 older kids. They had amenities that were important for a large family from cutlery to bedding in addition to the amenities that came with the room. It was a spacious and clean room. The only thing I look forward to seeing change is the carpet. Hopefully have it changed to tiles or hardwood floor. Regardless, if I were to visit downtown Ottawa again, I will definitely stay at the Business Inn.
Their free breakfast was well thought out and catered to many needs. My very picky eater devoured 3 waffles and many new meals he hadn't tried yet. Egg breakfast was delish and my toddler had his Cheerios he kept crying for (which I had thought wouldn't be available). The older kids had a great meal also as there were lots of options to choose from.
One thing that got me a little bit concerned was that I met the receptionists eating (full blown meal not snacks) inmmat their desk while trying to check us in. I would assume that they will have their break time in a private space. Where I come from, eating publicly while trying to serve a customer would be perceived as a little unprofessional. I mention this so that if it is a put off for anyone, to know that this wouldn't change your experience.
