The room looked like it had not been cleaned. Dust everywhere, dried up food on tv stand, fridge was dirty, food in the kitchen sink drain, bathtub was dirty, shower curtain was dirty, flies in the room…I can keep going on but I think you can get the idea it was DIRTY. We stayed here 10 years ago and it was great then. The place has gone downhill. I would not recommend it to anyone. We did not end up staying and got our money back. Had to scramble to find other accommodations.

The Owner of the place was very nice. Super friendly and helpful. The motel was quite opposite of him. Very dirty and ran down.

We called ahead to inquire if there was a couch in the room and was told there was. When we got there the said 'couch' was an arm chair. The place smelled badly of smoke despite the fact we had requested a smoke-free room.

No Frills? ... Ya Right

I know the ad says "No Frills Motel" but this place was honestly the worse place I have ever stayed. I had to be at the local hospital early the next morning. If not for that and the fact it was for one night I would have left the moment I walked in. I've enclosed pics with this review so you'll see what I mean. We checked in at their gas station as no one was in the office of the motel. Went to the room and it was extremely small which wasn't an issue. Just needed somewhere to lay our heads for the night. That said it was DINGY & FILTHY. Tears in the bedspread as well as a cigarette burn (non smoking room).1 hand towel and 1 bath towel NO facecloths and 2 of us checked into the room. Light fixture in bathroom was hanging off and the ceiling was filthy. Internet was slow and there was no cable. Out the entire time we were there so couldn't watch Tv. When I spoke to the staff about the TV he told me to turn it to channel 3 and we'd have ALL the channels. What he meant was channel 3 was the only channel and it was distorted and you couldn't hear the words and it went out eventually too. Tiny kitchenette, light fixture but NO bulb so it was like a prison cell in that tiny corner. A car freshener hung to cut the smell. No smoke alarm (which I am pretty sure is against the law) Upon check out he asked if the room was "good" I said no and again mentioned the TV but he cut me off and said no I mean is room locked.You don't get what you pay for & they don't care about your comfort.

You get what you pay for... maybe

Not a good choice; bed and floors were clean. Bed sheets had burn holes. Bathtub (hairs) and Mirrors were dirty. Upkeep has not been performed since Aug 2013 and Fumigation in Sep 2014 per user reviews. Room was extremely smokey. Freezer was iced over. Coffee maker and toaster were dirty and no filter, Utensils-pans-bowls (did not trust to be clean), Paint, base boards, floor tiles and boards cracked and broken, Night stand drawers broken and not usable. Health and Safety code violations everywhere. (No Smoke detector, fire extinguisher almost at empty and last checked years ago. Overloaded power plugs). No carpet/floor mat at door.... etc

Dirtiest stay we ve ever had

I booked a 2 bedroom suite, it wasn t. It was very dirty. Toilet was dirty, shower area was moldy, kitchen counter was dirty, old dirty dish cloth left at the sink and there was mouse poop in the sink. We couldn't close the bedroom door. I santitized the room with wipes I had. The carpet was not vaccumed,kept stepping on stuff. Yes this is a cheap room, but they could at least try to clean them properly. We'll be back in Kincardine again and will stay some where else.

A very basic motel. Disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in the room. Dirty and broken furniture and carpets. Sheets stained. Smelled like smoke. Will not be returning.

Le pire etablissement hotelier dans lequel j'ai sejourne. La chambre #2 etait dans un etat epouvantable. Infestee de mouches, odeur de cigarette (cendre sur le bord de la fenetre), murs endommages, mobilier probablement achete dans une vente de garage ou ramasse sur la rue (chaise reparee avec ruban adhesif). Expedia ne devrait jamais offrir de tels etablissements.

Stay Clear

Room smelled terrible. State of disrepair. 2 Window blinds had missing pieces allowing anyone to see in. 2 large pieces of fly tape hanging from light fixture full of dead flies. Took my 2 children to sisters place. Would not subject them to the room. Tried to get money back for 2nd night but was refused.

AC performance is at Double room suit is poor, as only AC functioning at living place which is not capable to cover whole space.

Reguired a wheelchair accessible washroom

I specifically said I reguired a wheelchair accessible washroom when I booked...upon arrival ..after using a measuring tape to measure several washroom doors ..it was determined the chair would not fit . We left there and booked into another hotel ...fortunately there was a room available !!!

Good stop for my motorcycle trip

It gave what it promised. A decent stay during my motorcycle trip. When you're on a bike it's nice to have it parked right outside the window. Two things: AC unit was old and really noisy, and I wish there would have been shampoo available. Good location right on the main stretch. Fuel and pizza next door.

Excellent price, no-frills

The motel was walking distance to beach, safe, had a working kitchen and bathroom, TV, and clean bed linens. It was very no-frills. If you're looking for something posh, this is not the place, but if you want a safe and inexpensive place to sleep while you are in the area, this motel is fine. The staff was lovely, and very polite. Soap was included, but not shampoo/conditioner, so bring your own. Kitchen area included table, 2 chairs,full-size stove, oven and refrigerator (but ask in advance, I am not sure if all rooms come with this - we had the 2-bedroom suite). Great place if you are staying a few days and want to save money by cooking for yourself. The motel is very old and could benefit from remodeling and renovations, but then the price might go up. We stayed there because of location and price.

Why did we go there?

Not a great experience. The overall condition of the room and the hotel was not the best. Only option we had at the time. Will not go back.

Close to the beach.

We made a last-minute reservation and luckily they had an availability for two nights but… Very close to a beach… I can't remember the name of it but it is not station beach. The room we really only need it to sleep in and shower. If you're looking for something more luxurious this is not the place for you. There was a confusion with booking through Expedia however the hotel manager fix the issue right away

No housekeeping service .. not impressed that we did not even receive clean towels for our 2 night stay. No air conditioning. Tv reception was poor. Tv had no remote. The only thing was was great was lots of hot water for shower and WiFi
