“The hotel is located on the mountain and the view of lake Lugano is spectacular. As it turns out, the rest of the experience was less so. We arrived around 10pm and by then, the kitchen was closed. The staff reluctantly served us drinks while at the same time wiping tables and closing down - despite the fact that the bar was supposed to stay open for another 30 minutes. “We had a very pleasant stay overall. The hotel has a charming retro style, and while the rooms are a bit older, they are well maintained and have a lot of character. What stood out the most was the hospitality. The owner and staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made the whole stay feel very personal. There is plenty of parking available, and the hotel is very pet friendly. There is also a nice garden and lots of outdoor space, which made it perfect for walking...

“We spent 5 wonderful days in May at the Belvedere. The rooms have an incredible lake view and are just lovely. The breakfast, included, has a generous selection. We dined 3 nights at the hotel restaurant which is absolutely elegant and offers delicious food. The staff was helpful and very courteous. The island is very small and everything is “right there”. Definitely a place we will remember and go back to!”
