"We stayed here for one night and the staff that checked us in was very helpful. She suggested we take a room on an upper floor when she knew it was just my child and I. I felt safe staying there but the motorcycles in and around were so obnoxiously loud. They were riding around with what felt like all hours of the night and I believe someone staying on the property had one too and right outside of our door. I know this is not the property's fault but I don't know if I would stay there again because of this reason. The room was clean and all we needed to do was stay there the night before we went on further north and it served its purpose."

Sand Castle Inn

"We only stayed one night after six days of camping, but overall we had a good experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and we had no issues with it. There was a small problem at check in because, somehow, my reservation was made for two rooms instead of one. The staff resolved it and refunded the extra room, which I appreciated. The only downside was that construction started in a room just one door down from us at 7:00 a.m. If we had been staying longer, that probably would have been an issue. Fortunately, we were already up early packing to leave. On the bright side, it was nice to see they are remodeling and updating the rooms."

Lighthouse Lodge And Cottages

"We had a wonderful weekend getaway at the Lighthouse Cottages. The location was perfect, peaceful, quiet, and close to everything we wanted to explore. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing coastal getaway."

Portola Hotel & Spa at Monterey Bay

10/10 Excellent

"The Portola Hotel provided excellent customer service. My family and I were able to check-in early. We had a nice view of the bay from our balcony. The hotel was very clean. We loved that the Portola Hotel location was steps away from Fisherman's Wharf and downtown shopping and restaurants. It was so convenient having the Trolley transportation bus across the street to take us to Cannery Row, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and other tourist locations. The morning before check-out, it was nice being able to come downstairs and have breakfast and relax in the hotel restaurant. We would definitely stay her again!"
