"I reserved two rooms so our friends and family could celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday together. We had stayed here previously and, while the hotel was older, it was clean, well-maintained, and had a friendly atmosphere. The location was also a big plus. Unfortunately, this visit was a major disappointment from the moment we arrived. When we walked into the lobby, it felt very dated, humid, and had an unpleasant odor. Overall, it gave the impression that the property was not being properly maintained. Check-in was equally frustrating. The front desk clerk seemed disorganized—room keys were scattered across the desk, and in the middle of helping me, he answered a phone call, spoke rudely to the caller saying he was busy, and hung up. The rooms themselves were in poor condition. One room had curtains with holes, and everything felt old, dirty, and muggy. The next day, we discovered the terrible smell in that room was coming from a dirty diaper left in the trash can. The second room looked slightly better at first glance, but the bed was extremely squeaky and the AC unit was falling apart. The following morning, we found hair under the covers and mold inside the Keurig coffee maker. "

"I have stayed at many many hotels but NEVER in my life been to one this unclean and feel unsafe in the area. I cannot for the life of me could spend the night so I had to booked else where. I returned the key the next morning! I told the check in personnel that as soon as walked out of my vehicle I could smell weed and inside her office as well. Her office is a total disaster every thing was everywhere. I don’t care about getting my refund I couldn’t bear staying a night there. This place should be inspected for mold safety as well. I apologize for such bad review but I truly felt it needed a attention!"

"Old property with lots of charm. Bed is comfortable, shower good. Innkeepers friendly and helpful. Adequate breakfast and happy hour beverages provide opportunity to chat with other guests from US and Europe. Lots of museums, restaurants, coffee shops and bookstores within easy walking distance (less than a mile). Will definitely come back. "
