Loved it!!

Awesome place. Just the right amount of quiet. Beautiful view of ocean from patio. Pretty lake across the street with swans, geese, sucks and other birds. Walk to boardwalk. Owner very friendly.

Beach was convenient and empty. Pool was clean and great for kids. Easy walk to the boardwalk. Overall good experience!

Decent for a motel

Good experience. No microwave in rooms and with private beach gotta fix the rinser/sprayer as you come off the beach. Parking was interesting, need sign closer to road. Drove past it first time.

Definitely will go back

This was such a great place! The beds were rather uncomfortable but over all the place was great. The beach is nice and clean and the pool is also. Very nice family place..

Not worth the money, even for the location.

The room we had was old, felt like we were in someone's musty basement. There were no tissues, no clock, no phone, no amenities or helpful items or literature about the area. Had to have the man in the office get the TV working. Inside of the window AC was dirty. The patio is nice, right on the beach, the outside looked nice but in this case looks were decieving. Our room was not worth the money, will not stay at the Driftwood Motel again.

I must say this was my first stay at the Driftwood, and I will return, I book for two night, but due to heavy rain they allow me to stay for only one day to shorten my stay due to bad weather, Thanks Driftwood Betty Ann and Sam. From Lou Figueroa

Clean & quaint motel right on the beach

This was a very quaint motel right on the beach, located in a convenient spot with sufficient parking. The rooms were nice and I just loved the closet/dressing area. Everything was very clean and well cared-for, and the staff were friendly. However, the mattresses weren't very comfortable, and both my spouse and I had back pain in the mornings. The shower stall was also really small, with very little room to put any toiletries. Some of the larger rooms have full bath tubs, which ours did not, with quite a bit more space. Overall it wasn't very modern, but we weren't looking for that. We came a little off-season so the outdoor pool and snack area weren't open yet, but I imagine they'd be awesome with better weather.

The Driftwood Motel, Pt Pleasant Beach

The hotel has an excellent location, right on the beach. I stayed in an oceanview room. It was defanitely worth the extra money. You could hear the waves crashing as you slept. The outdoor pool was very , very, nice. They just re-modeled it. Being so close to the ocean was the best part. The rooms are modest, but they were clean. The area was a safe environment. The Staff were really nice. It took a while for the hot water to kick in but eventually it did. I would defanitely stay there again. But splurge for the oceanview rooms (there are only 4 of them) It would defanitely be worth it.!!!

No hot water for 2 days. At best the water was lukewarm. I was told to run the water until it got hot. After 15 min to still was at best lukewarm. Also, this was the first time I can recall having to pay for my full stay in advance. First I paid the reservation 1 day on CC. Then I wa given a second charge slip to sigh to pay for the balance of the cost. This may be routine, but it was new to me.

Right on the Beach

Excellent property right on the beach, with an outdoor heated pool, and ample lounge chairs. Had a wonderful relaxing stay here with my husband.

Perfect family stay

Great location - right on the beach with a delicious poolside snack bar. It was a nice surprise to see that rooms have been updated since our last stay. 2 minute drive to boardwalk.

Driftwood

Stayed over a few nights. Nice beach/pool area on the outside that was about it. For $225 a night There was no WIFI service (they had a weak unprotected WIFI that didn't work in the room and could not tell me the password to their protected WIFI that was listed under DRIFTWOOD.) There was black mold in bathroom shower, uncomfortable beds, crappy towels and and a general "Meh" attitude from most of the staff. Seemed like they only catered to the owners friends and family. Too bad. We loved the area but no way would we go back here.

Nice, clean motel on the beach

The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed the section of private beach behind the motel. It's also nice that there is a snack bar and tables with umbrellas between the motel and the beach. The pool looked very nice, but we did not use it during our stay. It was a nice surprise that there is a free trolley that runs daily to various points around Point Pleasant, including the boardwalk. It picks you up right outside the motel. My biggest complaint is the parking situation. It's terrible. There are spaces squeezed into every corner of the property and none to spare when the motel is full. About 10 of the spaces are between the buildings in a dead-end area. There is only one way in and out, and it's too narrow to turn around when all the spaces are full. To exit the lot, you are forced to back between a narrow gap in the buildings. That being said, I would definitely visit this hotel again. For the price and location, it was great. I just hope I luck into one of the easily-accessible parking spots the next time I'm there.

Close to beach, parking & bathroom disappointing

The motel is on the beach and has a nice patio with a place to buy food. The downside is the parking lot and the condition of the bathroom. The parking lot is VERY tight and the bathroom we had was not in good condition. Our room did have a fridge which was nice but no microwave.

Nice enough

We arrived and was able to go to the beach before check in. Hotel has it owns private beach area which was very nice and had a life guard on duty. Nice pool to hang out in. Nice patio area to sit and still see beach. Nice restaurant right there for breakfast and lunch! Overall had everything right there and half mile away from the board walk. Had to pay to stay at the beach on the day of check out however. 12$ a person. Also had 25$ charge for having 3 people to a room that we were unaware of.

Bad hotel, good location

The hotel is expensive for what it is. Very basic hotel, feels old and barely 2 stars. Expensive considering that. But extremely well located, right on the beach.

Pleasant - right on the beach

Room cleaned daily and pleasant staff. Was able to enjoy evenings on the beach and watching the sunrise in the morning.

Will definitely stay again!

Staff is very pleasant, room was clean and comfortable. Private beach and swimming pool and a snack bar on site. Boardwalk was close by and not too big to let the kids go and have fun.

This hotel is awesome. Right on the beach, beautiful pool and patio. Staff attentive and nice and room was very clean. Hoping to stay again before the summers over.
