"Staff was excellent, very friendly and attentive. This hotel is in a great location making it easily accessible to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The elevators are very slow especially during high traffic times but the stairs are right there. While the room was clean and the balcony was a nice ammenity, the extra cost for a partial ocean view wad definitely not worth it. This is because the full ocean view is obstructed by another residential building, essentially making you the view for them. "

"The staff were friendly and helpful. Good location. We were able to walk to many restaurants and shops. Only complaint is we couldn’t use the chair in the room because it was damp when we got there due to it being too close to the air conditioner. We would stay there again. "

"HIGHLY recommend! From start to finish - this was a wonderful place to stay. All the staff is super friendly and helpful. The room was great (historic wing), and amenities were perfect. What we loved best is that in the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, with all of its towering hotels, traffic, people, the Royal Hawaiian was an oasis. The ageless gardens are beautiful, peaceful, and you don't hear any of the outside noise of the city. We loved it for our Anniversarymoon, and hope to go back again!!"

"If you like access to Waikiki, but don’t want to be in the middle of it all this is a great place to stay. Easy walking to parks and beaches and you’re within a mile of many good restaurants. We thought the room rates were very reasonable for Ocean view of the harbor."

"The hotel was just fine for what we needed - somewhere close to the airport for our late night arrival. The room was clean and quiet. Only downside is that breakfast was packed at 7am - hard to find seating and a line for the food. It wasn’t a long wait just something to be aware of. Overall, it met our needs and we would stay again if we had a late night arrival. "
