“wonderful place”

“We had a wonderful one-night stay. We had a double room with ensuite, which perfectly suited our family of three. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and were great with our young daughter. There is plenty of parking and the pub itself is gorgeous and full of character. The breakfast was incredible - had the Full English, which was so tasty, and there were lots of continental and lighter options too. It’s an absolute gem of a place, and one we’ll definitely return to.”

“What an awesome hotel, everyone was friendly. No air conditiioning, but we survived well. Don't think that if you are from the states, you should rent a car. There are plenty of options for transportation vendors, the hotel will provide you the contacts. Beautiful part of the world.”

“Lots of character, authentic, old inn (original part built circa 1690) set in beautiful countryside. Some parking on site at rear, but one evening we had to park on the roadside. (It is a quiet road so OK.) There is a nice seating area in a garden in front of the Inn. Nice ambiance overall. Staff are very friendly. Evening meal and breakfast were good. The double room we stayed in was sufficiently quiet and of an acceptable size. Would definitely consider staying again if in the area.”

“Parking was great. Food was excellent but we had a long wait for our dinner as there was only one chef on duty. He did his very best. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. ”

“Bought a night at Hollow bottom for my daughter and fiancé. They thoroughly enjoyed the stay and said that the bedroom and bed were a really good size. They also had a lovely meal in the evening. They would definitely recommend a stay here.”
