โVery clean and very friendly staff. Rooms were decently sized, and we had very little disturbance and noise. Beds were comfy and clean.
We paid extra for breakfast which was decent and worth the money (a hot breakfast which is brought to your table and cereal, pastries and hot drinks that you can get yourself). Great location for the quay and old town, with shops, restaurants, pubs and many boat trips nearby.
If we were to return to the area we would come back here. โ
โI would not recommend this place to stay, old property and with need of renovating, no air conditioning, no toilet fan extraction, very hot room... sorry to say but as a franchise i believe they could do more for the price they are charging....โ
โThe room was fine. Pity about the floorboards of the room above creaking when anyone walked around. The bed was slightly too saggy, but everything else was fine. Breakfast was filling, but I would have preferred scrambled rather than fried eggs, and a changing menu. The pool/spa was nice but ageing, and it gets used to teach kids swimming at times, so may not be available. Still, it was good for the price and it's in a nice location.โ
โRoom was lovely and spacious with everything that we needed, only thing that I missed was a hairdryer but these were available from the sister hotel but that is up across the road โ
โI saw lots of negative reviews for this hotel so was very nervous about booking but weโd been let down at the last minute with the accommodation weโd booked for our weekend away so booked the Ocean hotel and hoped for the best!
I have to say I was so pleasantly surprised, yes the outside is a bit tired but the reception and bar area are lovely, the staff are friendly and helpful and the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed, even a fan and heater in the wardrobe...
โThis was our second visit. We were initially given a room in a bad location on the second floor. We had to walk a lot and go through hot corridors. When we refused the room, we were then given a nice one on the ground floor. It was in good condition, and we really appreciated it.โ
โWeโve stayed here numerous times, itโs our go to place to stay in Bournemouth. Value for money. The rooms are basic but clean and with free parking. Itโs a leisurely 20 minute stroll to the main shopping centre/beach/gardens.
We finally got to use the pool on this visit! Was lovely to check out but still use the pool before we actually left. Thank you! โ
โWhat a fantastic little gem of a find. Close the lovely clean sand beaches, nice bars & restaurants. Yet very relaxing & quiet, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our girlie weekend break โ
