If you'd l like a quiet, peaceful, quaint and cozy stay with Portland vibes, this is the place to book. I was so happy with booking this at the last minute. Trader Joes is right around the corner and so are restaurants and coffee. NOTE: There are stairs. No elevators. Make sure to clean after yourself. It is someone's home and it is like staying at a loved ones house. A pleasant experience if this is what you are looking for. Thank you, Tim and Robert for your assistance. I would definitely book again on my next visit.

Clean room, responsive hosts, and a small kitchen area with cereal provided for breakfast. My room was tiny and cozy, which was perfect for a solo traveler. I saw they have other larger rooms. You need to climb a flight of stairs to access the rooms, and there are 2½ bathrooms shared among 7 people. The location was very convenient, walkable to a few dining options. Trader Joe's is right next door for anything you might need (including parking). That area is a bit sketchy though, so don't leave anything in your car if you park a bit far. I fortunately found parking just by the place, but make sure you reach out to the hosts before arriving so they can reserve a spot for you. I missed their messages and had to find something for myself. Worst case, drive around the block and you'll surely find a spot.

This enormous old house in a delightful Portland neighborhood was a delight. (EXPEDIA was NOT a delight, however, because it failed to send me the key code I needed to get into the building. The on-site staff person told me my experience was typical.) Lots of fun restaurants (and Trader Joe) nearby, easy public transportation to downtown for people who don't walk.

We really loved the communal side of meeting people traveling as we were as well as how convenient it was to Washington Park (tons to do and see there!) and food and coffee. The owners were very responsive too.
