Great spot just outside Portree, convenient for all our day trips around the Isle of Skye. Rooms were clean and small, but had everything we needed. Only thing we wish would have been better was the WiFi connection. Breakfast was included and was very good.

We had a great stay! The cottages were cozy and well appointed. The staff was AMAZING, well organized at check in and they bring your luggage to and from your cottage for you. We were a group of eight people and the restaurant staff was so pleasant and patient with us. Great food selection available. We love The Brecken Hide. Highly recommend!

This hotel is located less than 10 minutes from the city center. It sits nestled on a hill and every pod has a great view. The pods themselves are well maintained and very cozy. There was plenty of storage in the pod so it never felt cramped. Breakfast every morning was prepared a la carte. We loved the privacy of the pod and the romantic atmosphere it created.

The weather was very cold and rainy when we arrived and they would not take us in the golf cart to our room which was at the top of the hill. They also have no small plates or snacks that can be brought to your room.

Unique set up with individual cabins positioned on hillside with wonderful views. Food excellent along with top quality service and a special call out to Paulina. Only downside is lack of onsite transportation for customers to and from cabins Given potential weather challenges and customers with health conditions hiking up and down hillside pathways could be a challenge

After traveling all day and doing everything possible to get to the Isle of Skye (ferry cancelled, no available taxi's or rental cars), the hotel refused to cancel our reservation or give us a refund. I do not recommend doing business with the Bracken Hide Hotel because of this.

Lovely stay at The Bracken Hide. The room was warm and comfortable, with soft bedding and a peaceful atmosphere. The beautiful setting offered fresh air and scenic views, while the friendly staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious, with fresh flavors and thoughtful presentation. The TV issue was a minor inconvenience, but overall it was a wonderful experience.

This property is absolutely amazing! The positioning of the individual rooms on the hillside is fantastic. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable and its simplicity is lovely. The only thing I would say, and this is for a number of the hotels I’ve stayed at in Scotland ….the public areas like the bar and sitting areas like the restaurants are a bit worn, and in some cases, not clean enough. In the bar, they were spills on the chairs and the couches staining the fabrics, but they didn’t simply clean them. I love the place, but the attention to detail would put it over the top.

The Hides were a perfect little private get away. The staff dropped our bags off at our Hide for us which was very helpful. The restaurant (reservation needed) was very nice, the lounge was comfortable and the drinks were excellent. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and was more than happy to help us with anything we needed. Lovely stay, highly recommended!
