The location was lovely, but the onsite managers were rarely โonsite,โ they would not allow us to have complimentary late checkout, (not even an hour or 2, even though our flight didnโt leave until nearly midnight and we had checked in at nearly midnight.) They provided us with stained towels and a dirty and used kitchen sponge upon arrival.
Paara asked us when our wedding anniversary was. He told us that he would bring us a bottle of โbubblyโ to celebrate our special day. He never wished us a Happy Anniversary, nor did he bring us any โbubbly.โ
When we asked for paper towels or napkins he stated that nobody had ever asked for them and they werenโt provided.
It rained and there were high winds 7 out of 8 days that we were in Rarotonga (nobodyโs fault,) but when we finally saw Kayla to ask for sightseeing brochures, she had none to give us, stating that some were left in our bungalow. There were only a few in the folder. She recommended visiting a nearby garden, which was very mediocre.
The mattress was extra firm, the chair cushions indoors and on the outside lounge chairs were thin and worn out. The 2 burner gas stove had to be lit with a match and barely fit 2 pans on it.
We paid over $500 per night, with fees and taxes for this beach bungalow. It was a huge splurge to celebrate our anniversary and we were sorely disappointed! We do NOT recommend staying here!
