The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium

The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium

8/10 Good
"The staff were really great, the location is excellent, and the meals and drinks very good. My only concern is that the resort is looking and feeling very very very tired. It appears that management/owner has done very little to upgrade and maintain the resort in the last 20 years. For an apparent 4 star resort and the money they charge for accommodation, I think management/owner really needs to step up or sell it to someone who cares about the resort, its staff and customers. Come on management/owner, you can do better or the other better maintained resorts will make your obsolete."

"Location location location. A perfect place to stay for one night between a flight in and a flight out. Cross the road to get to the airport. Hotel is fine but a little run down -- my room had a collapsed soap dish. There is revelry till about 11 pm outside the rooms. Breakfast from 8 am -- I walked to the supermarket and got what I needed."

"Staff were very friendly. The property was always clean and tidy. Fantastic to have a room freshen every few days. Bar service earlier than 4 pm for the guests would be great, especially when they are lounging around the pool Parking was an issue due to the building works. Workers or visitors to the bar took the few spots available, leaving guests to park down the road."

"An unforgettable week in paradise! Kia Orana Resort and Spa exceeded every expectation from the moment we arrived. The staff greeted us with genuine warmth and traditional hospitality, making us feel like family instantly. Our garden villa was pristine, and spacious with a lovely outdoor shower and soaking tub. The housekeeping team kept the room orderly with daily tidy-up service. The spa is a sanctuary of absolute tranquility; the deep tissue / hot stone massage I received was arguably one of the early highlights of the trip. The pool was in the midst of a renovation and being that it was winter we did not partake. Daily morning continental breakfast and coffee was a nice treat. Thank you to our lovely host Sane and the entire team at Kia Orana for an incredible, stress-free week of pure relaxation. We will be back!"
