The staff was friendly but it was graffiti everywhere, the TV didn't work, the heat didn't work and the room needs upgrading bad. It was so dirty I was itching when I left

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Worst hotel experience ever. The place was completely infested with roaches. The staff is rude and unhelpful. The bar lick was broken off the door. Mold issue. It was the worst room ever
Not the most clean or up to date hotel. Felt like I should have paid the price of $28 which was the rate of one of the competitors along the same stretch of road not to far from the hotel. Next time I will do my research a little better.

worked well when needed...
I was playing music in Rich. on a Fri night...tired and drove10min max to the econoldg and had a good nights' sleep...got up early and drove to another city....stayed at a econolodge in Va. Beach...still impressed! Thanks Wayne Wright
This place is not a central location as was indicated. The WiFi was slow when it worked at all. The walls, mattresses and toilet were all dirty. The sheets did not fit the bed, they tried to put a double sheet on a queen size mattress. There were no amenities in the room, such as coffee or hair dryer. I understand it was inexpensive and a basic room but I expected not to have to sleep on bare mattresses and to be able to get a full nights sleep, I had people at all hours of the night banging on my door asking for someone who must have stayed in the room before me. Since they all mentioned the same name I would assume they had stayed there for awhile. The managers/housekeepers stayed on the room above mine and walked around and moved things all night long.

Adequate
Hotel was adequate for purpose. Close enough to services. A place to sleep. No disturbances. Staff was friendly and helpful
Bad neighborhood, not kept up,hair all in bath tub, smelt bad, suppose to be a none smoking room but we had burnt holes in the sheets, there was trash in one of the beds under the covers so they couldnt have changed the sheets,2 towels for 3 people, used condoms in parking lot, neighbor hood was so bad we was sacared to go out to the car really really bad!!!!
The first thing that I noticed was that the carpet was soaking wet. Then I noticed the smell. Horrible. The rest of the room was adequate for a one night stay. I have stayed at choice hotels before and gotten a decent continental breakfast. When I walked into the "lobby" (a tiny little room with one table and a chair) there were a few pieces of bread, a stale muffin, and a cups worth of warm disgusting orange juice. Also, the location may be convenient but it's right across the street from a strip club.

Disliked: Room comfort
Not what I expected...
This was not at all what I expected for an Econo Lodge. The room was clean, but the bed was barely big enough for my husband and I to sleep comfortably. I reserved a room with a queen sized bed or a room with double beds and I was given a room with a bed that barely had a full sized bed. The bath towels were big enough for a child who's about 5. The location seemed to be in a not so very good neighborhood. The staff, however, were very friendly and very helpful.
I had the worst night ever it started at 2230 when I heard what I can only assume to be drug dealers and gangsters yelling outside loud enough to wake me up every hour. Then at 330 in the morning they were so loud I couldn't even fall back a sleep. I was scared that if they knew I was next door that it would turn into not just a scary night but a dangerous one as well. I will never stay at an Econolodge again in my life especially this one.
Based on this trip, I will never stay at another EconoLodge or any of their affiliates.
The guests in the room above us did not stop being rowdy from 1am until 7am. 2 others guests asked them to calm down, I went to the front desk. They did not calm down, and the hotel did NOT move them, or ask them to leave.
