“Charming historic building but inside there was a modern hotel with clean and comfortable, well-maintained rooms. It also has ample parking. There is a pleasant bar area and restaurant. They served a good buffet breakfast with a range of food to suit all tastes (fruit, yoghurt, cereals, bread/toast, pastries, cold meats and cheeses and also a full cooked breakfast). “Room had no minibar, no snacks, no bottled water, no air con, only a fan. Bath was nice and deep but taps difficult to turn on. Flooboards creaked whereever I walked, inside the room, as well as on the stairs. Breakfast was poor quality and selection. Swimming pool had nice outdoor area. Was asked to pay deposit upon checking in. Given there was nothing removal from the room, did they suspect I might be taking the bed with me? Overall, not impressed.”
