The staff were great and we so enjoyed this fun unexpected find! Free parking was included and an amazing breakfast was unexpected! We enjoyed it in the library but the open courtyard was beautiful too. Perfect in warmer weather. The bed was comfortable and plenty of hot water. There are stairs only to the second floor so plan for that.

Adorable inn in an adorable town

This inn is adorable and perfectly located in the middle of a walkable area. The hardest part was finding parking before checking in (and then moving my car to the right spot post-check in). I was greeted with the most amazing cookies, and a table with the room keys, but never actually met an employee other than food servers.

Historic Inn is sure to Delight!

Wonderful slice of history in San Anselmo that also pays homage to Star Wars’ creator George Lucas who is a resident in this community. Very peaceful setting and walkable to a variety of nice restaurants and shops. Breakfast was delightful.

Overall a nice stay, our room faced directly toward a concrete wall, which despite a beautiful day and weather led our room to feel dark and cramped. Very loud neighbors other guests as well which is not the fault of the hotel. They were able to make our room ready well in advance of check in which was helpful. Very nicely situated to walk the main stretch of San Aselmo which has lots of coffee/shops/food available.

We loved our stay at the San Anselmo. Very bed and breakfast vibes, neat history, clean rooms, and well kept. We also loved all the availability of shopping, eating, and travel in the area. You can walk to pretty much anything you want or need and if not plenty of ubers available for the area. The only negative for us was there was no AC. But, the rooms stayed cool when we were there. Mid October time frame. We kept the windows open so it helped keep it cool. Great stay all together and will come back when in town!

Great place, great location.

We had a great time at the San Anselmo Inn. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the location was ideal for what we had to do in the neighborhood. I would suggest to anybody who likes a quaint place without all the other frills and whistles this is the place. I would also recommend to my family or friends.
