As long as you are ok with possibly not seeing any staff, using a code to access the building and your room, this was a great stay for me. The rooms are not large, and the amenities are minimal, however it was very clean, AC was good. It's strictly a hotel to sleep, shower, and hold your stuff. The area is so/so, unfortunately that is DTSD problem that effects all. Would stay there again.

I loved The Davis hotel. The location was super convenient (short walk to Petco Park) and the property was well kept. It has a retro design inside, which I loved. There is a nice little lounge with a fireplace at the front and a cute little bar / kitchen area beside it. The roof top patio is amazing (but does close early). I would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and family.

If you are solely looking for a place to sleep at night, this Kasa is will do. Unfortunately we did encounter blonde hairs on the mirror (neither of us are blonde ha), and a massive cockroach in the hallway as well as some small stains on the sheets. The roof top had a good view, but was not very clean. Nevertheless, the room had its own a/c unit and we appreciated the luggage storage. Very close to Petco Park. Rooftop access, but no working fire pits so bring a sweatshirt and a blanket at night.

it was the perfect room for what I needed, a place near petco park, my own bathroom, easy check in and out, a downtown balcony and an area where I can refill my water bottle. can’t be upset with a downtown area being loud at night but besides that they do provide ear plugs.

The online check-in process was clear and easy to navigate. When we arrived, the room was hot and humid, despite the air conditioning unit seemingly running on the coolest setting. We had to get to a dinner reservation, so we left and anticipated the room would cool down. When we arrived back after dinner (4ish hours later) our room was still significantly humid and much hotter than the community areas. We went up to the rooftop to check out the fire pits but none were working. We were uncomfortably hot in our room all night. Glad to only have had one night to stay!

Boutique, clean and cozy; I would've had a 5 star experience but unfortunately ran into an instance where the code for my room didn't work. Little hiccups happen I wouldn't have made much of it if it were just quickly resolved, but due to the incompetence of one employee, we were stuck sitting on the floor outside of the room over 15 minutes on hold wsitinf for him to help until I gave up. I called back pretty upset and spoke to a different rep who immediately manually unlocked the room to let me in so we didn't have to wait until she created a new code we could use. I would stay with them again and one poor employee does not represent the whole experience.

This property was a great find. The location was ideal, especially if you like to walk the neighborhoods. It's a no thrills property, which was perfect for me The room was spacious and well appointed. The cookies and canned water were a welcome touch. The daytime concierge on site was super nice and charming and professional. I had casually mentioned that the barn door on my bathroom was jammed, but that it wasn't a big deal. The next day the barn door magically worked. Definitely take advantage of the roofdeck. I'll definitely come back if I'm in San Diego.
