This hotel was 'ok' - although I can see it has a lot of potential - very recently acquired and still in the middle of being renovated by the new and very friendly owners. Location is great and for the price, it was a good stay. But no TV in the rooms, no chance to leave bags so had to pay $30 for an early check in because front desk wouldn't be staffed after 5pm, no indication of which was soap, shampoo, conditioner in the bathroom, no plug close enough to a mirror to use the hairdryer. But overall I'll give it another chance IF the exceptionally reasonable price point remains even close to what it was this time around.

I would give this hotel one step up from a hostel, but I've actually stayed in a nicer hostel. The location is great, right in the middle of different parts of San Francisco, made it very easy to walk everywhere. The carpet was stained and the bathroom felt like a jail cell. Other then the big window brightening up the room the room felt meh. the big highlight was the bed. the bed was SUPER comfy. The staff was very nice as well.

This hotel is just opening in an old historic San Francisco building so we found it to be a work in progress. The staff was amazing though … so thoughtful, gracious and full of good humor. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the radiators generate all the heat you want. The beds are new and very comfortable. There is parking across the street and many restaurants and cafes. Many good places to go are within walking distance. It’s not fancy but we had a great stay there.

It's an old hotel that has been recently renovated and reopened. It's clean, nothing fancy. Great location (not sketchy). Staff was very nice and helpful. I'd be very happy to stay there again.

I had a wonderful stay. Enjoyed the room and the staff. Unfortunately one week after my stay I got billed $50 for small amounts of makeup (foundation) on the white sheets “stained” they said. I asked for pictures after they washed and bleached them to show it was stained and they wouldn’t provide me with that. So make sure your take off all your makeup and be extremely careful in their white sheets or you will be charged. Won’t be going back.

The staff at the front desk was hardly ever there, and no one answered the phone call when we were checking in. Waiting in the hall for around 3 hours not able to get in. The manager and staff at the front desk never answered the phone call. The maintenance guy and another staff were being very nice to help us contacting the manager, really appreciate them.
