“This lodge and spa is located in a valley between two mountain ranges at about 5000 feet (compared to Monte Verde 4300 feet) and is considered to be within the range of cloud forest. When we arrived, we were checked in and the host was very nice but failed to give us clear information of how to navigate the privately owned cloud forest with very hilly resort location and four water falls all within the property. “Beautiful and unique property. We only stayed one night and loved the coffee tour. The restaurant was on site and had delicious options. Only slight downside is no A/C (which we knew about) and lots of insects/bugs that were in the room (2 spiders, 3 other larger) when we arrived. ”

“A beautiful traditional elegant hotel. The staff are just spectacular, they are patienient, helpful and friendly. I'm not sure who doers the hiring and staff training BUT give that person/group a raise!!! Overall a wonderful value and great experience. Things to improve.....the dining experience and the indoor bar could be improved. The indoor bar seems like an after thought on how to be all things to all people. It needs a quiet elegant section where couples can enjoy a peaceful ambience...

“At first they asked us if we wanted ground floor, and w said yes and got placed in room 4. It was a total nightmare with a rattling door and a shower with no edges. We asked if we could move, they said yes, and we moved to room 7, which was amazing. Clean, great shower, lots of space, a separate wardrobe, etc. Breakfast simple and fresh, hand cooked for us. Our only complaint was wifi, which only worked in the lobby. Overall a very good place. ”
