"The staff was welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, although a bit dated. My only real issue was the lighting — while there was plenty of natural light, opening the curtains meant sacrificing privacy. One highlight was definitely the excellent water pressure in the shower, which made for a very relaxing stay overall."

"Experienced my first-time meal at the on-site Juniper’s Steakhouse and it as fantastic. I will definitely come back to the Santa Ana Star next time I am in the ABQ area."

"The grounds are immaculate as well as the top tier golf course. Rooms were very nice security stationed down by the elevator lobby to make secure entry. This is the third time staying here and never disappoints. The staff from check-in, bellmen and casino security kudos. Casino has all the new machines. My only dissatisfaction is the lack of options for dining. I would like to mention that there is a great option for dining a short distance from the hotel called “El Pinto” for a great Mexican dining experience."

"Upon checking into our room it has a horrible must stale smells it was very strong. Upon checking the room it was not very clean and the bedding had stains on the blankets of both beds. The front desk clerk was amazing and showed me several more rooms but they were all the same. We requested a refund and went across the street to another hotel."

"The hotel is under renovation and does need the upgrades. Hope to see how the upgrades will pan out. Pool was supposed to be open but again under construction. "

"Clean room, friendly staff but hotel in need of renovations. Bare bones room with not even a blow dryer. Bed was clean and comfortable and room was cleaned daily."
